Adam Wright

Adam Wright is Sub Principal Trumpet of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, a position he has held since 2006, and Second Trumpet with the London Chamber Orchestra, with whom he played at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011. As well as these permanent positions Adam works with somCarol Jarvis-10e of the UK’s finest ensembles and session orchestras, playing on sound tracks such as Harry Potter and Wallace and Gromit. As a soloist and chamber musician Adam has performed throughout the UK and abroad in venues such the Wigmore Hall, King’s College Cambridge and Madrid Cathedral with artists including Alison Balsom and John Wallace

As well as his playing career Adam is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and teaches at the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School. He has also given classes at Trinity Laban, the Royal Academy of Music and RWCMD as well as various universities in the USA and Europe. As well this other work he enjoys being an active member of the RPO’s award winning Resound outreach programme and the LCO’s Music Junction programme.

Having studied at the Royal Academy of Music from 1996-2000, Adam graduated with a First Class Honours degree. In 2007 he was made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in recognition of his success within the profession.
